William Katz, M.D., Medical Director of the Sleep Lab at Metro Health Hospital and pulmonologist and doctor of internal medicine, will be presenting on Sleep Disorders and AD/HD. • Are you a Night Owl? A Princess and the Pea?
• Do you do your best work at night because there are fewer interruptions, but then can't get up on time the next morning?
• Would a sleep lab be the last place you could imagine falling asleep?
• Is it that the harder you try, the more elusive sleep becomes?
• Have you been frightened by ads on TV that describe the side effects of taking sleep medications, such as sleep-driving?!
What problems can long term sleep deprivation cause? How do you know if you are getting enough sleep? Can the lack of sleep cause a brain disorder? Make it worse? What can help? How do you know if you need professional help? Does insurance cover it? Don't miss another wink!
